New Items: Balloons
- Balloons are new items that grant additional bonuses when playing Item or Speed Mode.
- Balloons can be equipped, refilled, and upgraded in the [Garage - Kart - Balloon] menu in-game.
- When equipped, Balloons have the following effect:
- Common-rank Balloons: (Item Mode) Replaces the "Missile Hit" effect with the "Banana Hit" effect.
- Fine-rank Balloons: (Speed Mode) Increases the Boost Gauge's automatic charge.
- One Balloon is consumed per race, and when you run out of the stock of an equipped Balloon, it is automatically unequipped.
- Balloons cannot be equipped in License Mode, and will not be consumed by them.
- Common-rank Balloons can be upgraded to Fine for 500 Lucci.
- Note: When upgraded, the upgrade will remain present on that balloon for all future refills.
- Balloons can be refilled by spending Lucci in the [Garage - Kart - Balloon - Refill] menu.

- License Training Course has been added.
- You can enter the Training Course from the [Select Mode - License - Training Course] menu in-game.
- On the Training Course, you can select and practice the driving technique of your choice, or practice freely through the Free Drifting option.
- L2 License added.
- There are a total of 8 new License Missions for the L2 License.
- Completing these missions will unlock special rewards and provice a greater challenge for even experienced racers, but are not required to unlock new tracks.

Decal Market
About the Decal Market:
- The Decal Market is a space to buy and sell decals created by you or other Racers.
- Requirements: Level 3 or higher is required to access the Decal Market.
- Decals can be listed throughout the season, and with every new season the listings are cleared, excluding the most popular Decals on the market.
- You can enter the Decal Market through the [Garage - Kart - Livery - Decal Market] menu.
- [Update 7:00 PM UTC MAY 11] Newly submitted decals become available at 12:00 AM UTC every day.
Listing Decals:
- Up to 3 Decals may be listed on the Decal Market per account.
- Decals with fewer than 5 layers, have been purchased from the Shop, or were received as a reward cannot be listed.
- [Update 7:00 PM UTC MAY 11] Additionally, Decals that have been purchased or received as a reward can no longer be edited.
Purchasing Decals:
- Decals listed in the Decal Market can be purchased and downloaded for 500 Lucci.
- The Racer who listed the Decal will receive 70% of the amount of Lucci spent on the Decal (350 Lucci per sale).
- Purchased Decals can be found under [Manage Livery - Decals - Purchased].
- Purchased Decals can be freely placed anywhere on your kart that a Decal normally can be placed.
- Purchased Decals cannot be altered or re-listed on the Decal Market.
Decal Ranks:
- All Decals start out at Common Rank in the Decal Market, but will rise in rank with their popularity!
- Decals can be one of five ranks, and rank in the following order: Common, Fine, Rare, Heroic, and Legendary.
- Decal Popularity increases by the number of Purchases and Favorites the Decals get from other Racers.
- When the season ends, the top 20 Decals listed for that season will be kept in a special Permanent market tab, and be available indefinitely!
- Decals that rank outside the top 20 will be listed as "Registration Expired", and be taken off the market. Note that any purchased and downloaded Decals will still be usable on your Karts!
Reporting Inappropriate Decals:
- Decals on the Decal Market can be reported as inappropriate by using the Report button.
- You can report a Decal only once, and can report up to 3 Decals per day per account.
- If the Decal is found to be inappropriate, it will be suspended.
- Suspended Decals are removed from the Decal Market, and from downloads as well.
- Earnings from Suspended Decals will be confiscated.
- Submitting 3 false reports will result in a 7-day restriction from reporting, and submitting 7 or more false reports will result in a 30-day reporting restriction.
Replays
- Replays can now be recorded and saved automatically in the [Settings - General] menu (default: Save).
- Saved Replays can be accessed in [Select Mode - Replays] and viewed in-game.
- By default, the 10 most recent Speed Mode and 10 most recent Item Mode races are saved as replays.
- Replays are saved if they fit the following criteria:
- Game Mode: Item Mode, Speed Mode, Custom Race, or Grand Prix.
- The race ended properly, with at least one Racer crossing the finish line and the player either finishing or retiring.
- The race has no recorded Lap Times of 6 minutes or greater.
- Replays are saved on the device that you are playing on, and cannot be accessed from other devices.
- Up to 10 replays can be permanently saved, and will persist across devices.

- Mode Lab is an ongoing Game Mode, where different special Game Modes will be featured, or tweaks to existing game modes will be tested out.
- Can be found under [Select Mode - Mode Lab] in the lobby.
- Infinite Boost Mode will be available during Season 2 in the Mode Lab.

- Allows for near-limitless boosting throughout the track, by making it easier to fill up the Boost Gauge in a Speed Mode-like match!
- Mode Details:
- Boost Gauge charges automatically, even while using Boost.
- Boost Gauge charges when using Start Boost and Instant Boost.
- Boost Gauge charges when draft activates.
- Boost Gauge does not decrease upon collision with walls while drifting.
- Victory/Defeat Conditions: Same as Speed Mode (Solo/Squad).
- Available in Solo and Squad play, and allows for play with party members.
- Matching options cannot be set.
- Tracks are determined based on if matched racers have earned the B1 License:
- All Racers have the B1 License: All Diffculty Tracks are available.
- At least one Racer lacks the B1 License: 2-Star Difficulty or lower Tracks only.
Item Mode Changes
- Team Color is now displayed on the Racer Name for sucessful Attack/Block notifications:
- Team Colors have been added to the item effect for Water Bomb and Barricade items.
- Some areas where only one item could be picked up, now up to two items can be picked up.
- After picking up two items, you will not be able to pick up another until at least one item is used.
- After getting hit by Lightning in Item Mode, you will now have a brief window to accelerate once the effect ends.
- A sound effect is now played to indicate that a UFO item has been used on a team member.
- A UFO warning icon is now displayed just prior to the UFO hitting the target.
- The rate of obtaining items has changed (Note: Changes will take effect on Monday, May 15 at 6:00 AM UTC):
- Attack Items: Increased.
- Banana: Slightly decreased.
- Boost (High Rank): Decreased.

Speed Mode Changes
- Boost Gauge now changes color when drifting to indicate that the Boost Gauge is charging.
- Team Race conversion delay was improved, and a charging animation was added.
- The Racer Name of the rear Racer in team races is now displayed.
Matchmaking
- Up to 3 tracks can now be excluded in the Matching Options menu, preventing you from being placed into a match on those tracks.
- Tracks can be excluded by Item Mode and Speed Mode.
- When in a party, only tracks excluded by the party leader will apply.
- Tracks cannot be excluded in Grand Prix mode.
Social
- Random Party Finder feature added.
- Join a random party that fits the sort of match you're looking for!
- Party Finder can be found in the [Lobby - Social - Party - Party Finder] menu.
- Some features will be restricted when searching for a party (including Select Mode, Play, Friend Party Invite, Party Finder Settings, and Leave Party).
- New Party features added:
- Can now enter a custom race while in a party (Note: The party will be disbanded after the custom race).
- If a party member is waiting, the [Ready] and [Quick Match] buttons will display as [Ready Check] instead, which will prompt party members to set themselves as Ready.
- Leave Party button has been moved to [Lobby - Social - Party].
- Friends Changes:
- Up to 50 Pending Friend Requests will be saved (down from an Unlimited number).
- If additional friend requests are sent when 50 are still pending, the oldest Friend Request will be deleted.
- Friend Requests now expire after 30 days, and will be automatically declined and deleted.
UI
- Lobby Image and the Select Mode UI have been changed.
- Garage - Character UI has been changed.
- Select the character and then [Change Outfit] to select the character's outfit. Alternatively, you can use the [Garage - Character - Change Outfit] option to select the outfit for the currently selected character.
- [Update 7:00 PM UTC MAY 11] When changing characters, the latest outfit you own will be selected by default.
- The Item Shop will now display the text "Owned" instead of the price for items you have already purchased.
